Abraham Erskine was a German-born scientist and doctor who worked on a super soldier serum alongside several other scientists and technicians including Howard Stark during World War II after having moved to the United States. His serum resulted in Steve Rogers becoming a super soldier and taking on the superhero identity of Captain America.
